Ed Bernard Bio


Ed Bernard is Vice President of Precision Specialized Division Inc. out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He started in the business as a driver and owner-operator and for 12 years moved everything from hazmat loads to superloads across Canada and the US. He has moved some of the biggest loads in and out of Ontario and across the USA/Canadian border for a wide array of clients. Bernard and Precision Specialized have won SC&RA Hauling Jobs of the Year Awards in 2013, 2015 and 2018. He attended St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Currently he is the Vice Chair of the SC&RA Transportation Group and sits on the Board of Directors.

Ernesto Gaytan Bio


Ernesto Gaytan has over 15 years of experience in the trucking industry. As General Manager for STI Group, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s transportation operations and administration of both US and Mexican STI companies. He leads his team of transportation leaders in all aspects of the industry, including federal regulations, HR, safety, accounting and security. He started his career with Schneider National and has held numerous positions including roles in sales, customer service, and dispatch. Gaytan works out of STI’s Headquarters in Laredo, Texas where his border crossing department handles over 25,000 border crossings per year.
