Robert Moore Bio


Robert Moore is General Counsel/Risk Manager for Southwest Industrial Rigging, Phoenix, Arizona.  In 1996 he drafted for SC&RA the first set of national industry contracts on a state by state basis for long term rented cranes and taxi/work ticket crane work. From the original contracts, over 20 other additional contracts have been created for the Heavy Iron Industries including the Crane, Rigging, Millwright, Concrete Pump, Specialized and Heavy Haul Transportation sector. Moore is also the author of extensive publications and handbooks in Risk Management, Contractual Transfer of Risk, Workplace Safety, Construction Safety, Crane and Rigging Safety, Transportation Safety, Inland Marine, Excess/Umbrella and Workers Compensation; Joint and Several Liability in Illinois, National Tort Reform, Worker's Compensation, Accident Investigation for the Heavy Iron Industry. He is the past president, vice-president and general counsel for over 20 years of the SC&R Foundation. He is a member of the Insurance and Risk Management Committee for over 23 years and is an immediate past member of the Transportation Safety Committee, and the Transportation Governing Board. He received his B.S. and B.A. degrees from John Carroll University and his J.D. from Loyola University Law School.
