Jonathan Bhana-Thomson Bio


Jonathan Bhana-Thomson has been with the New Zealand Heavy Haulage Association for over 19 years, 15 of these as its CEO. The Association is the national advocacy body for the specialized oversize transport sector in New Zealand for more than 55 years. Bhana-Thomson has been instrumental in advocating for the oversize transport sector, developing better communication with organisations that range from New Zealand’s national transport regulator to road work crews.  Recognition of the sector’s contribution, engaging with roading design, developing industry good practice and improved recognition of industry skills, as well as advocating for the preservation of oversize load routes around New Zealand are his current aims for the Association.

Steven Dunnewijk Bio


Steven Dunnewijk is VP USA East, Mammoet, and has been with the company for over 10 years. Prior to moving to the USA in September 2018, he was responsible for managing the regional sales and marketing function, and business development and contracting for projects in the APAC region.

André Friderici Bio


Andre Friderici is co-owner and Technical Director of Friderici Special SA. He started in his family company in 1975 as truck driver and crane driver and was responsible for job dispatching (crane + special transport) until 2000. Since 2000, he has assumed more direct work with clients, industries and jobsites for the preparation of road surveys and studies for projects in Switzerland and Europe. He has been a member of ASTAG Switzerland in the crane and heavy transport sections for more than 30 years. He has represented ASTAG in ESTA since 2008. At ESTA, he has held the position of Director of Section Transport since 2013. 

Mathias Rehe Bio


Mathias Rehe is the President and one of the founders of Daco Heavy Lift Central America in Guatemala. The company has over 20 years of experience in heavy lift and oversized transports, crane works, and rigging in Central America, the Caribbean and the Guyanas. With over 30 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, Rehe has actively worked and performed route surveys and supervision in this area and built up a network of companies.
