Kyle Abbott Bio

Kyle Abbott small 

Abbott serves as account executive, Heavy Specialized, for Landstar Transportation Logistics, Inc. He is responsible for the growth and development of Landstar’s heavy specialized business as well as for providing support to independent Landstar agents and capacity providers to ensure safe, reliable transport of heavy specialized customer shipments. Abbott also serves on various SC&RA committees including the transportation governing group, the permit policy committee, and the membership committee. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky’s Community College System in Madisonville.

Mike Cobb Bio

Mike Cobb small 

Cobb serves as Vice President of Safety and Compliance for Landstar Transportation Logistics. He is responsible for overseeing all issues surrounding safety, compliance, security and both cargo and auto liability loss prevention for Landstar and its operating companies. Cobb joined Landstar in 1992 as a Maintenance Coordinator in the Trailer department. He worked his way up first to Safety Specialist, and eventually to Director of Safety Services in 1997. In 2006, he was promoted to Vice President of Safety, Security & Loss Prevention before being promoted to his current position in 2014. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Chaminade University of Honolulu.

Rusty Cody serves as Vice President – Heavy Specialized/Intermodal Services for Landstar Transportation Logistics Inc. In his role, he uses tools and resources to support independent Landstar agents with heavy haul and intermodal business and operational development. He joined the Landstar network in 2008. Prior to Landstar, he co-founded and served as President and CEO of Distribution and Fulfillment Services, a general commodity 3PL near Atlanta, Georgia, specializing in apparel. From 1987 to 1999, he served as divisional vice president of logistics for Uptons department stores, an Atlanta-based specialty retailer. Cody has his bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from the University Tennessee.
